Most of my forging is done in the COAL forge. I use a heavy duty fire pot from LMF.
A Lancaster blower and sliding air gate control the fire. I have had too many hoods & chimneys made of steel. They don't last very long in every day use. I collected scraps of
10# stainless steel plate to build the side draft. The chimney is thin ss sheet formed with
a brake at the sheet metal shop. You can find more information on "side draft" chimneys
